Summary

Cylindrical vase tapering from high rounded shoulder to flat foot, short, narrow neck with everted rim. Decorated with a deep dark cobalt blue glaze, streaked on plain lower body revealing white body beneath. Upper body and shoulder painted in silver lustre with complex interlacing geometric pattern, Celtic in style, creating four lozenge shaped panels between each interlace. Within these panels, four different varieties of stylised flowering plant in deep copper red flambe, flambe also used to fill small gaps within each lustre interlace. Silver lustre band beneath geometric pattern, with four small heart motifs positioned at intervals below it. Plain silver neck and upper shoulder.
