Summary

Public: Flattened globular jar and cover, white earthenware, decorated with flowers and feathery foliage, in silver lustre and copper red over an orange-red glaze. Private; Flattened globular jar with straight footring and short straight neck, wide flattened cover. Decorated with a deep orange-red glaze, paler round footring. Shoulder painted in silver lustre with four waves of feathery foliage, each wave containing a single flat leaf amongst the foliage. Above this, four five-petalled flowers in copper lustre with silver outlines, each on scrolling stems in the troughs between each wave. Plain iridescent silver lustre bands round lower body below. Pale orange cover with large eight-petalled flower in copper lustre with silver outlines at centre, surrounded by feathery silver foliage radiating outwards to rim. Brown glazed interior.
