Summary

Pink lead-free Cornish Crysede silk printed with Dufy-style brush-drawings of trees, flowers, water, lighthouses, boats and animals in cream and pink. Sleeveless tunic dress with side placket fastening with poppers and a hook and eye. V neckline, with a hanging bow. Hem shortened. See 1982.62 for similar fabric. Obviously a favourite dress, in classic style, washable and comfortable, as the donor (Mrs Corlyon), who died in July 1980, aged 86, was still wearing it in 1979 (nearly 50 years after she had bought it!) as a cool summer dress. It shows more wear than 1982.62.
