Summary

White silk printed in small mesh pattern in black, lined with white silk, trimmed with mauve velvet ribbon. Bodice has a white silk underbodice edged in white lace, boned at CB and side back, fastens CF with hooks and eyes and silk ribbon tie. Continuing 5cm below waist line as basque, edged with white lace. Sides fasten CF under three silk rossettes with glass buttons at centres. V neck filled in at back with extra silk section, at front with extra silk that fastens across with hooks and eyes, upper part of cream net trimmed with tucks. Stiffened collar trimmed at upper edge with lace and line of dots in lilac silk. Trimming of lilac velvet ribbon in bow CF. Extra lace collar forms V at CB, continuing over shoulder to side front. Sleeves with straight cuff and pleated frill at sleeve edge at elbow. White silk undersleeve joined to cream net shaped sleeve at elbow, trimmed at wrist with line of lilac silk dots, fastening with two buttons. Petersham ribbon at waist. Skirt has white skirt underskirt with weighted hem. Fastening down CB with hooks and eyes, Petersham waistband reinforced at upper edge with white tape. Boned CB and side back. Five silk rosettes with glass buttons ar centres, at CF and right side edge. Extra section from waistband, fastening across to cover CB opening. Trimmed with similar rosettes at lower edge. Lilac velvet trim round waistband, with bow at left side back and ends with glass points.
