Summary
Blue-black velvet lined corded black silk (poor condition). Bodice with high round neck with shaped neckband, open down front to 30.5cm below waist and fastening with hooks and eyes. Pleats held at waist by separate V-shaped belt edged with cord, connected on right side and fastening across to left, ornamental button at each end. Bodice boned in lining at CF, SF, SB and CB. Satin ribbon at waist, fastening front with buckle. Three quarter sleeves with puffed frill at elbow held by black satin ribbon with bow. Watch pocket at left side waist. Skirt widens to hem. Pockets in side back seams. Black silk frill round inside of hem. Label : "Liberty & Co., Artistic and Historic Costume Studio, 222 Regent St.W."
