Summary

An oval box with straight sides, deep plain mount and hinged lid. Enamel on metal and painted in colours on the lid depicting a landscape scene showing two men, one carrying a gun, followed by a dog, approaching a bridge over a river on which a man is driving a cow, the scene is dominated by a tree on a mound in the centre foreground. The sides and bottom are painted with five sprays of flowers direct on a white ground.
