Summary

An oval box with straight sides, plain mount and a hinged lid. Enamel on metal and painted in colours on the lid with a panel within a gilt border of a landscape in which a man approaches the walls of a ruined castle with a church in the distance. The sides are painted with two sprays of flowers and two leaves in raised enamel. The ground is an all over blue and white mesh pattern.
