Summary
Public: Model of a longcase clock. White earthenware with a decorated underglaze in yellow ochre, yellow, brown and green, with a pearlware glaze. Private: Two-part moulded longcase clock with shaped rounded head and wide foot, decorated with a dark underglaze yellow ochre wash. Relief-moulded circular clock face reserved in white, with impressed roman numerals and capital letter M picked out in brown, and painted yellow clock hands reading quarter past twelve. Date 1794 impressed above clock face, two sprigged reliefs of oak leaves and acorns below, in underglaze green. Three indented nodules above and to sides of clock face, equivalent to pierced holes on other clocks in collection. Plain door panel with thick brown outline, brown outlined foot panel with painted brown grill, surmounted by simple relief leaves in green. Pearlware blue glaze.
