Summary

Etui of flattened oval section tapered towards the bottom with a deep hinged lid in a chased scalloped edged metal mount with chased metal mounts to the top and bottom; inside is a brass measure, a brass ear pick and an ivory memorandum tablet. Enamelled on metal and painted in colours with five panels of various birds in landscapes; two on the body and three on the lid. All panels are within gilt scroll borders on a pink ground decorated with trellis and dot pattern in raised white enamel.
