Summary

Public: A salt cellar formed as a circular vase with a metal rim and standing on three feet shaped and painted as dolphins their tails supporting the body. Enamel on metal with the upper part of the body moulded in high relief with a band of six oval bosses painted in purple and the lower half with eight vertical flutings in the same purple. Private: A salt cellar formed as a circular vase with a metal rim and standing on three feet shaped as dolphins their tails supporting the body and their heads forming the feet. Enamel on metal with the upper part of the body moulded in high relief with a band of six oval bosses painted in purple with a gold star in the centre of each, between each of these is painted two orange scrolls outlined in gold and with gold decoratation between. The lower half is moulded in eight vertical flutings in the same purple outlined in gold with gold lines between each. The feet are painted as dolphins in green with scales and fins and tails in red.
