Public: A square ink pot with fluted sides and corners and four holes on the shoulders with a mother-of-pearl lid fitted in a metal mount with a metal mount to the base. Enamel on metal and painted in colours on the sides with four landscape scenes and the corners with sprays of flowers all direct on a white ground. Private: A square ink pot with fluted sides and corners and four holes on the shoulders to insert pens; fitted with a mother-of-pearl lid within a plain metal mount with a similar mount to the base which is copper. Enamel on metal and painted in colours on the sides with four landscape scenes depicting figures, classical ruins, buildings, trees and water, the fluted corners are each painted with sprays of flowers and the shoulders with four small sprigs of flowers and the holes bordered by purple all direct on a white ground.
