Summary

Public: Thrown pear-shaped coffee pot on circular footring, tapering to cylindrical neck, with a S-shaped spout set at right angles to a loop handle. Stoneware body painted in overglaze enamels with a Chinoiseries garden scene. Cover missing. Private: Thrown pear-shaped coffee pot on turned circular footring, tapering to tall cylindrical neck. Tall S-shaped spout moulded with fluting and leafy sprays, set at right angles to strap loop handle with pinched and flattened spur at lower terminal. Body painted in green, pink, blue, yellow, red and black overglaze enamels with Chinoiserie garden scene, comprising two figures in a garden, left figure seated beneath tall parasol, beside large vase, right figure standing with fan held under his arm. Large floral sprays scattered around handle and spout, border of black scrolls overlaid with green enamel ground around neckrim, spout moulding picked out in blue, green and pink. Cover missing.
