Summary

Low rectangular teapot with rounded shoulder curving in to short rectangular neck. S-shaped spout with hexagonal moulding at base, handle in the form of a scaly dolphin with outward turned tail at lower terminal. Finely marbled white and brown earthenware body, marbled clays laid in horizontal strips giving regular repeat pattern of scrolling white and brown streaks. Overall warm honey tone from lead-glaze. Cover missing.
