Circular medallion with straight white edges, and dark blue dip on back and front. Allegorical scene in white relief depicting figures of France and Liberty joining hands. Liberty on the left, in classical robes, holds a staff surmounted by a Phrygian cap aloft towards France on the right, dressed in robes, breastplate and helmet, with a shield at her side decorated with fleurs-de-lys. Between them is a pedestal altar inscribed FIDEI PUBL (Public Faith), on top of which stands a female statue carrying a cornucopia and a sheaf of corn in her outstretched hands.
