Public: Broad shallow bowl, white earthenware, with exterior decoration of white inscription against silver lustre ground, and interior scene of Saint George and the dragon, painted in silver and copper lustre against white ground and inscribed '11th Nov r 1919'. Private: Broad shallow bowl with straight sides curving in to base on broad footring. White earthenware body, coated in silver lustre on exterior, reserving Italic inscription around rim reading 'If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say: If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us'. Interior painted in silver and copper lustre with scene of St George on horseback, carrying lance and shield and standing victorious over the dragon, surrounded by swirling flames and billowing Union Jack to left, below inscription at rim reading '11th NOVR 1919'. range : Royal Lancastrian
