Summary

Full length studio portrait of a small child. The child is seated on a raised plinth covered with a fur rug holding a leather whip and a model horse, there is a carved wooden chair with a velvet padded backrest to the right. The child has short curly hair and is wearing a knee length velvet dress with scalloped edge cotton drawers and elbow length sleeves with a wide lace trim. The dress has a round neck with a wide lace collar and a lace trim down the centre front. Worn with long white socks and ankle length leather boots with buttons, contrasting stitch and a scalloped edge.
