A watering can sits discarded at her feet, a barrel containing other garden implements behind her to the left of the tree. Scene embellished in overglaze yellow enamel, picking out the tree, and two printed textured patches of grass. Printed border to plate rim of repeated S-shaped ribbon twists, overpainted with shaded yellow band, darkening towards centre.
