Summary

Public: Globular vase with wide, flat shoulder and short, narrow neck, red earthenware, with turquoise Opalescent-veined and curdled glaze and green Starry Opalescent crystals. Private: Globular vase tapering from wide, flat shoulder to narrow foot, very narrow, short neck with flared rim. Opalescent-veined glaze on interior and exterior of vase gives thick streaky feathery effect on sides, curdled effect on shoulder and rim of neck, red earthenware body visible beneath glaze streaks giving purplish hue, especially round rim. Thicker glaze on lower part of vase gives more opaque turquoise colour. Two streaks of green Starry Opalescent crystals and some single crystals, formed from cobalt fired to 1000 C, around lower body.
