Summary

Public: Moulded vase of quartered globular shape with tall neck, red earthenware, with turquoise Opalescent-veined glaze and green Starry Opalescent crystals. Private: Squat globular vase tapering sharply to foot from shoulder, quartered with four vertical depressions. Tall neck, tapering in slightly at rim, also with four depressions. Opalescent-veined glaze runs all over body in feathery streaks, red earthenware body visible beneath glaze giving purplish hue, red around rim. At edge of rim tiny green Starry Opalescent crystals, crystalline glaze containing cobalt fired to 1000 C, larger patches of crystal on neck interior.
