Summary

Public: Tea bowl, soft paste porcelain, transfer-printed overglaze in black with scenes of a tea party and wheelchair. Private: Teabowl, slightly tapered footring, everted rim. Transfer printed overglaze in black with two scenes on opposite sides. One scene shows man and woman seated on garden bench, laden table in front of them, small dog at their feet, black page to right pouring from kettle into teapot, tree and shrubbery behind. She stirs drink, he holds teabowl and saucer and staff. Signed R.H.f. The Wheeling Chair shows two men, one pushing one pulling, with wheelchair holding lady and doll, tree to right. Enamelled overglaze black band inner rim.
