Summary

Green grey twilled woollen cloth ( tweed) waist, lined striped white and grey cotton satin, shaped for braces with button each side of centre back and two each side of centre front, dart below waist each side of back, lined grey cotton below waist, concealed front fastening lined grey cotton with five buttons and buttonholes, pocket, grey twilled cotton with five buttons and buttonholes, pocket, grey twilled cotton in seam each side below waist, slit pocket each side of back fastening with button and buttonhole, wide legs seamed centre front and centre back and at inner and outer leg, extending to just below knee, narrow at bottom edge with narrow band fastening with metal buckle at outer leg. Worn by Mr A P Wadsworth, (1891-1957; father of donor; Editor of Manchester Guardian 1944-56).
