Turquoise cotton asymmetrical sleeveless tunic, over a pleated orange cotton panel to the right side, and a pink and yellow striped cotton panel to the front, fastneing over with red vinyl and velcro clip fastenings across the front, side and back. Labelled 'Issey Miyake'. Miyake was one of the first Japanese designers to have success in Paris, setting up his house in 1973. As here, his style usually combines the traditional Japanese textile techniques of pleating, layering and wrapping with Western couture techniques.
