Summary

Public: Teacup and saucer, hard paste porcelain, moulded branches, leaves and grapes in green, brown, mauve, puce and yellow enamel colours on white ground with butterflies, birds and insects and gilt decoration. Private: Teacup and saucer, hard paste porcelain. Shallow cup with J-shaped handle, moulded on the exterior with vine branches, leaves and grapes, the deep saucer with similar moulded ornament on the outside. Painted in green, brown, mauve, puce and yellow enamel colours with birds perched on the vines, and with butterflies, a group of two birds on a tree and insects in the centre of the saucer, the rims and handles picked out in gilt.
