Public: Tea pot and lid, soft paste porcelain, reeded loop handle, flower and leaf knop, transfer-printed overglaze in black with garden scenes. Private: Teapot of globular shape, reeded loop handle, curved spout, transfer-printed overglaze, black, exterior. Tea Party No.2 depicts well dressed man and woman seated on elegant bench, she passes teabowl and saucer to him, sword at his right. Front left laden ornate pedestal table, distant left balustrade terminating at gate with plinth surmounted with statue. Garden landscape. Dog, foreground, facing leopard lying among musical instruments and foliage. Maid and Page no.2 shows maid, facing left, lifting laden tray from pedestal table. Black page walk towards her holding kettle, plumed hat. Wooded garden landscape. Underside spout interlaced scroll, diaper and shell patter. Upperside of spout shell and scroll pattern. Enamelled overglaze black band base of neck. Lid : low dome, flattened rim, flower and leaf knop, pierced steam hole, transfer-printed overglaze, black, upperside, with separate scenes of ruins and wooded rural landscape.
