Summary
Head and shoulders portrait of a young woman wearing a hat. The subject is facing the viewer, looking down and to the right. Her hat has a brim and a tall crown. She holds her left arm up and across her chest to the left. Her face is modelled in detail, with the rest of the portrait in outline. A study of Florence Rushbury (nee Layzell) who married Henry Rushbury in 1914. Henry Rushbury was an artist and friend of Brockhurst. Based on a drawing from 1915, whereabouts unknown.
