Windy Day
Summary
The woman, who is sat in the foreground of the landscape facing right, seems to fill half of the space as her legs stretch out in front of her, covering over half of the length of the print, and her torso runs along the left edge of the print with her head touching the top edge. The slight curve of her torso makes it appear as if she is leaning towards the wind which is blowing towards her from the right. This is made evident through the linework of the clouds which is horizontally directed to the left, the billowing mass of the clouds on the left, and the way her hair and clothes are swept back behind her. The linework is quite thick and bold which makes the print appear quite stylised.
