Summary

Outdoor lounge jacket, made by a rural tailor, perhaps for shooting. Cut long with high buttoning front, fastening with 4 buttons cf and small revers. Waist seam with very large flapped pockets running from side front to side back; breast pocket; cb seam and curving side back seams leading to pleats either side cb vent and surmounted with buttons; no cuffs but a double row of machine stitching 4 inches in. Lined cream cotton twill with interlining and machine stitching at the neck; striped cotton shirting lining the sleeves. Trousers, non-matching, in thick black wool woven with a close horizontal russet stripe. Cut high on the waist, with a wide front fall opening, fastening with 3 buttons cf and 4 to the flap above. Buttons stamped "Wright and Co, Aylesbury". 4 similar buttons attached around waist for braces. 2 deep pockets below front flap; no side pockets. cf and cb seams; no front creases. Fully lined cream fleecy cotton
