French city scene of the Place de Furstenbourg in Paris. It is one of the most famous squares in the city, but is in fact a street, as the central island does not create a roundabout for traffic. The painting depicts tall buildings, which surround pedestrians walking along the street. To the right, a street light holding a globe, stands beside two trees.
