Summary

Printed paper, hand coloured in polychrome watercolours. Scene of garden arbour with a lady and gentleman taking tea with an attendant maid with a tray. The kettle stands next to them on a table, and a formal garden ranges out behind them. Reverse is lined with cream paper with a single flower painted to the right. Sticks are plain ivory, undecorated, slightly overlapping. Plain guards with slight shoulders and square ends. Fixed brass rivet and pearl washers. Part of the Moorcroft donation and No. 38 in the Moorcroft Catalogue. Purchased by donor on 16.10.53 at the New Caledonian Market for 7s.6d.
