Summary

An oval box with concave sides and gadrooning around the base, with a plain brass mount, a hinged lid with a mirror inside. Enamelled on metal and painted on the lid on a white ground in colours, with opposing flower bunches and birds in nests around a central oblong panel in ultra marine bearing an inscription 'A Trifle from Liverpool' in gold. The lid decoration is encircled in a border of raised white enamel dots in a lighter version of the ground colour. The body of the box is pink.
