Summary

A cylindrical case with a long cap with a metal rim sliding on an inner metal sleeve which has a stopper in the form of a gilt shell. Enamel on metal and painted in colours with two panels of pastoral scenes, one on the cap, the other on the body and a panel crossing over the body and cap which contain the inscription 'Fidelle en Amour' in black on a white background. All the panels are with raised gilt scroll borders on a light blue ground embellished with grouped dots and scrolls in raised white enamel.
