Beach Scene

Morland Lewis 25/05/1903 - 1943

Summary

A simple coastal scene with a sandy beach in the foreground, and beach houses and dunes to the right. A wind sock is visible indicating a possible boat house. A pale blue sky is visible above. The paintwork is somewhat textured, and flat planes of colour have been used rather than offering extensive tonal variety. The houses appear as a patchwork of orange, white, brown and green.
