Summary

Black corded silk hat. Fiolding crown fitting head. Stuiff wide brim turned up in semi-circle each side, bound in black silk ribbon masking the crown with lining and band of black twilled silk. Elastic attached each side. Six strings of facetted steel beads caught with steel bar at top to round steel ornament at lower edge. Kept in case with two other hats.
