Summary

Single breasted, black cloth, formal clerical frock coat. Narrow band collar. Fastens with three silk-covered buttons. Back vent to waist covered by small tackover with two buttons. Skirted all round. Full sleeves with deep cuffs. Cuffs have three buttons, buttonholes in 18th Century style. Black satin lining, striped with artificial silk lining to sleeves. Padded shoulders. No outside pockets. Inside pockets in tails. Breast and watch pocket in left side. Worn by Ven. (Stuart) Hetley Price, Archdeacon of Manchester from 1966, died c.1975-6 as Bishop of Ripon. Previously he was suffragen Bishop of Doncaster. Born at Loughborough in 1922.
