Summary

Indian Civil Service Uniform, part of. Navy cloth tailcoat with gilt embroidery and silver gilt buttons. Single breasted with a high neck and standing collar. Nine dome shaped shank buttons with British Government crests. Collar fastens with two brass hooks and loops. Shaped pocket flaps under arms as decoration, stiffened and lined with black silk. Two more buttons on end of tails. Sleeves are deep shaped and have stiffened black velvet cuffs. Sleeves are lined with white herringbone rayon with fine black stripes. Body lined with black rayon satin and padding. Loop at back of the neck.
