Summary
Wide brimmed cowboy style hat in light-brown fine-straw trimmed with cream. Tall straight crown and doubled Petersham band fastening in a knot at the back. Brim turns up at the sides. Brown Petersham band inside, and elastic cord. unlabelled. Worn by donor at University of Manchester honorary degree ceremony April 1969, and then at a family wedding at St Philips Church, Alderly Edge, April 26th 1969.
