Summary

Black American cloth. Cylindrical hat-box with flattened side to form base, the base having four small round metal feet. Brown leather handle with D-rings. Lid fastens with clip each side and a locking clasp under the handle. Edges of case bound in brown leather. Lid on hinge. Inside is lined with grey cotton sateen, very soft, printed with plume-like pattern in white, orange, and green. Two metal clips in lid. Pocket, and dome for crown of hat, with metal clips and two leather straps in base.
