Summary

Cream satin and lace. Bodice lined with cream silk, continuing below waist as lining of skirt. Upper part formed from soft pleated silk chiffon across shoulders, over fill-in of gathered chiffon ending in high round neck, held by drawstring with pearls threaded on. 13cm medallions of heavy cream lace, two on each front, three across back, covering join between upper and lower bodice. Waistband of Petersham ribbon, fastens left side front under rosette. Short sleeves, edged with frill of chiffon and pearls, appliqyue section of cream lace. Skirt open down left side front. Hem trimmed with pearls. Line of French knots round hem.
