Summary

A tall, oblong box with straight sides, ormolu mount with a twisted handle and a domed, hinged lid. Enamel on metal with all over repousee trellis and dot pattern marked out in raised gilding. A circular medallion on the lid is painted with a half length figure of a young woman in a bright dress with her hands in a muff and wearing a conical hat of Chinoiserie fashion. The sides and bottom are painted with bunches of flowers.
