snuff box
Summary
An oblong box with concave sides, rounded base, a plain mount and a hinged lid. Enamel on metal with the lid moulded in high relief and painted with an amusing figure of cupid in a red robe with naked arms and legs, yellow and grey wings carrying a bow with a quiver on his shoulder and surrounded by sprays of flowers on a greenish grey ground. The sides are painted with four sprays of flowers on a white ground.
