Enamel on metal and painted on the lid with a portrait of Frederick the Great, King of Prussia, in each corner of the lid and around the sides are irregular shaped panels of flowers on a dark blue ground with floral sprays in white. Private: An oblong box with concave sides, rounded base, plain mount and a hinged lid. Enamel on metal and painted on the lid, in an irregular shaped panel, with a half length portrait of Frederick the Great, King of Prussia, wearing a powered wig, dark tunic edged with gold lace and an ermine lined cloak. Also on the lid, in each corner are flowers in irregular shaped panels. Around the sides are four similar panels of flowers, all outlined in borders of white dots on a dark blue ground decorated with floral sprays in white.
