Summary
An oval box with concave sides, gadrooning around the base and a hinged lid within a plain brass mount with a mirror (perished) inside. Enamelled on metal and painted on the lid in sepia with the base of a ruined column on which is the inscription 'Trifles shew Respect'; upon which a bird stands and sings with foliage growing on the top and to the sides, within a border of a band of sepia, on a pale blue ground. The body of the box is pale blue.
