Summary

Public: A circular, saucer shaped tray with a curved rim with a wavy edge. Enamel on metal and painted in the centre with a river scene of a peacock and ducks, the rim is decorated with flower sprays and an insect between which are gilt sprays. Private: A circular, saucer shaped tray with a curved rim with a wavy edge, enamel on metal and painted in the centre with a river scene in the centre of which a peacock stands on a rock with ducks on a pond to the left and trees and a vase on a pedestal to the right. The rim is decorated with a border of flower sprays and an insect between which are gilt sprays, surrounded by a border of tiny purple scrolls on each side. The wavy edge of the tray is decorated with dots in the centre of each wave on both sides.
