Summary

Public: Model of a longcase clock made of white earthenware, decorated underglaze in yellow ochre and cobalt blue, with a pearlware glaze. Private: Two-part moulded longcase clock with shaped rounded head and wide foot. Relief-moulded circular clock face with beaded edge and applied frilly collar to upper half, both picked out in yellow ochre. Impressed roman numerals and capital letter M picked out in cobalt blue, painted blue clock hands reading quarter past twelve. Date 1794 impressed above clock face, two sprigged reliefs of oak leaves and acorns below, in ochre. Wide door panel outlined in blue and ochre, with simple ochre star motif at centre, foot panel of same design surmounted by simple relief leaves in ochre. Pearlware blue glaze.
