Summary

Public: A baluster shaped bottle with flattened sides and a metal cap fitted with a stopper in the form of a dove attached by a chain. Enamel on metal and painted in colours on the sides with two panels of figures enclosed in raised gilt scrolls on a white ground with various shaped panels of pink in gold borders. Private: A baluster-shaped bottle with flattened sides with a metal cap fitted with an ormolu stopper in the form of a dove fitted to the cap with a chain. Enamel on metal and painted in colours on the sides in irregular shaped recessed panels with the figures raised with two panels one with a female figure (perhaps Brittania) wearing a blue and yellow headdress and carrying a rod seated at the base of a column and on the other side a man seated in a cap inscribing the base of a column (perhaps Mercury). The panels are enclosed in raised gilt scrolls on a white ground with various shaped panels of pink with white decoration in gold borders.
