Collection card of 2 brass, silver plated, moulded, circular buttons from The Ancient Order of St. Patrick. Loop shanks The Ancient and Most Benevolent order of the Friendly Brothers of St. Patrick was founded early in the reign of James I with the object of promoting friendship between Catholics and Protestants and putting down the infamous pactice of duelling. Since 1810 to the present day, the London branch of the Society wear a green dining jacket with yellow facings and a total of thirty buttons
