Summary

Pair of plates made of Qing dynasty "Europeanised" blue and white porcelain from the Qianlong period. Made in China for the European market. The subject is a group of figures representing musicians in Western costumes; including a lady playing a dulcimer accompanied by two gentlemen, one playing a lute and the other playing a flute. They are surrounded by eight panels with Chinese landscapes.
