Summary

Globular honey pot on flat, flared foot, with single small loop handle below shoulder, short straight neck and shallow domed cover with flattened finial. Buff earthenware body coated with a dark red slip over which is trailed white slip decoration. Sides decorated with four simple lozenge shapes containing diagonal wavy lines, alternating with four flowering scrolls. Cover decorated with three rows of heavy white dots. Slip colours show dark brown and yellow through warm lead glaze.
