Summary
Collection card of 12 decorative metal and celluloid circular buttons. Metal loop shanks Celluloid is highly flammable and was used sparingly for the manufacture of buttons for this reason. It is reputed that in 1890 a lady standing beside a bright fire wearing celluloid buttons had them ignite.
