Summary

Black, finely corded silk. Bodice lined with black sateen, boned and fastening down centre. V-shaped front panel ornamented in trellis and applied pattern in gilt thread, fastening on left. Velvet edging to silk at sides. Three velvet bands, buttons at each end, across centre front at waist, fastening in front with small buttons. High collar, fastening at back. Long sleeves. Undersleeve tight from elbow to wrist. Oversleeves to elbow. Separate skirt fastening at left front, cut with train. Pocket at fastening.
